Two people, from distant origins and different continents, meeting in a single encounter that catalyzed the meaning of a decade on the other side of the world.
Years spent building ourselves in a foreign land, amidst different languages and distant horizons. Then, the unexpected: a meeting, a suspended moment, and the realization that those ten years of experiences were nothing more than a preparation for this very appointment. Years spent exploring the world separately, only to discover that our final destination was each other. Today, we celebrate the most beautiful journey: the one that brought us here, together.
It didn’t take long: a late mid-autumn afternoon - warmer than usual, the kind that demands to be enjoyed on a terrace. The city: Shanghai. The place: the glamorous and glittering Bund.
In that moment, we couldn’t have imagined that a simple chat about coffee (Italian or Colombian?) would be anything but an ordinary conversation, but rather the first of infinite cups shared together.
Together, we have had the fortune and the pleasure of exploring far and wide: Italy, Colombia, the Philippines, Thailand, Africa, India, and so much more - especially with our imaginations. Soon, however, we realized that the stamps on our passports didn't just mark our travels, but the beginning of a much longer and more profound journey: a life together with the desire to build a family.
Today, we celebrate not only our union but the incredible voyage that allowed us to find one another.
